  1 0 I recommend the Ace because it's downtown and closer to the things most people want to visit (like Powell's!).   best place to camp via trimet?

  0 0 I am actually heading out to Stub Stewart park this weekend, mostly on TriMet. It's a great close-in, far-enough-away camping spot. You can take the MAX blue line to the Willow Creek stop and bike about 20 miles from there to Stub Stewart. OR, if you don't want to bike at all, there's a Columbia County Rider bus that leaves from Willow Creek three times a day bound for Stub Stewart.   Who sells the best fresh pasta in Portland?

  Where to get some damn good Thai food???

  1 0 You have to get there at 6pm and be in it for the long haul (three hours?) but Khun Pic's Bahn Thai is definitely the best Thai food I've had in Portland. A husband and wife duo who run the restaurant out of a house on Belmont and often get in giant fights back in the kitchen.   Which bars in town do happy hour until 8 pm?

  0 0 The only one I know of that goes till 8 is Boiler Room downtown, which runs a drinks special till nine. However, there's a bunch that start at 9PM and run late. Japanese restaurant Biwa has a highly confusing but highly delicious happy hour that runs from 5:30-6:30 but then starts up again from 9-10. Guild Public House on Burnside does happy hour after 11pm. There's a couple good places for happy hour food all night on certain nights. Hungry Tiger 2 does $1 corndogs all Wednesday night and Hall of Records has half priced sandwiches all Monday night. I'm embarrassed that this is all in my brain. Whatever, I'm cheap. Oh, and I should put in a plug for the Merc's happy hour iPhone app, Cocktail Compass, which lists local happy hours.
