Feeding, training and caring for a pet (cat, dog, bird, whatever) isn't always obvious. Even if they look like you, they are different. So it's time for some help.

Good point, sweet lady. I'll try that tonight (hot, hot, hottie coming over). She'll whine, I'm sure, but maybe if I moan loud it won't, uhmm, distract him.

Well now, I think I should be able to fornicate all over my apartment, on the floor too, without Miss Bella trying to eat everything I rip off of him. Plus, it's such a whirl wind of passion, and make no mistake, I am only focused on pleasing the dude and myself when said sex takes place. So, I've got to train her out of this. I can't just stop the passionate exchange to have him put his belongings on what little furniture I have... duh.
    Just sayin'

Your cat has the answer to the question "What is the meaning of life?" You should listen.

That is a great idea. My dog tends to try to take over the energy of any group but there is strength in numbers. If I'm calm, my friend is calm, his dog is calm, she'll figure it out. Great great idea. Thanks!

I've done a lot of the redirection stuff, paid more attention to how I was reacting to her reactions, etc. Nothing has helped. If anything it gets worse.

I understand the relationship my attitude and behaviors have on hers. My reactions feed her reactions. Etc.

Even if I'm not around and she is unaware I am around, she flips out. I've watched her in the car when I'm a half of a block away and she is not aware I am there, I've watched her in the window of my house when she doesn't know I'm there, I've watched her in my yard when she doesn't know I'm there. It's all the same whether I'm there or not. She over reacts.

Your advice is valuable to any dog owner as I agree, that man knows dogs and their behavior quite well.

Both cool AND cute. Does the cat lift his/her leg like the dog whilst peeing with said dog? I must know.

ldn't it? lt's funny, because he only started doing it about two years ago, and he's twelve. But he's also wicked smart, so who knows, maybe he figured out it was just how we humans express our love. Now if he'd only stop leaving half-eaten rodents in front of my door, we'd be set.

Your kitty is pretty damn cute too. He reminds me a lot of my current kitty's brother, who went missing a few years back. l'd jokingly accuse you of catnabbing except l'm in Seattle, and he wasn't quite that athletic.
