Help me sex up my hearing loss- please?

I need a small decorative box with a secure closure. Something appx 2 inches deep and the size of a coffin for a fat minnow. It has to pretty and femmy and make everyone who sees it think "I want that on my nightstand".

The case my hearing aids came in is not sexy. I need a case that will help make my hearing loss seem more of a charming quirk rather than a sign that 39 is almost 50. I need a secure box for travel, and it must have hard sides, not be soft like a coin purse.

It was a sudden loss so it is not like this an aging thing, but some people might not see it in an unbiased light.

My cousin uses those baoding ball boxes, with the bottoms cut out to accomodate silica gel packets then re-sewn/glued. She's crafty that way. She's found some pretty cute ones in the past, and you can get the balls and boxes on the cheap if you find them at a local flea market, etc.

Also if you're feeling crafty I don't suppose decorating/decoupaging whatever they came in would mess with the structural integrity or air-tight-ness factor??? Then you could also be as trendy/kitschy/mod/femmy/sexy-rific as you'd like.

This one for your bedside. But smaller. Try maybe Cargo in the Pearl or your favorite Asian Import store.

As for your travel case, would a travel soap dish work? I was thinking plastic but check out this metal beauty:

It's a Pre de Provence Metal Rectangular Travel Soap Dish for $9.99.

Phonak has an awesome case for their Audeo Yes. This model of hearing aid and case was made for people just like you. Go to www.Phonak.com to find a provider in your area who may be able to get one for you.

Depending on size have you looked at other Asian markets? I know at the Saturday market there is often a booth that sells Tibetan trick boxes.

A lot of tea shops, like the TeaZone have little tea tins which would be perfect for your hearing aids
