Flying Pie is hands down the best this town has to offer.
What's that? You haven't been there?
Well maybe you need to leave the downtown hipsterville and see where the rest of the tax payers live and enjoy some real pizza!

Apizza Scholls is without a doubt the best pizza I have had outside of New Haven, CT, making it the best pizza I have ever had on the west coast, let alone Portland.

Dove Vivi is a delicious option with its unorthodox SF-style cornmeal crust. The corn pizza in particular is highly recommended.

Apizza Scholls is my favorite, doesn't mean it is the best. There are many others I still have to try.

And the wait isn't just hype... the pizza is that good.

Vincente's. Hands down. Try their Grecian (be sure to add spinach) and tell me I'm wrong.

Actually don't tell me I'm wrong cuz I might kick you in the ding-ding. ;)

Round Table. I know, everyone will hate that answer for a number of reasons. But I worked in many Round Tables as a teen and lived on "no show" pizzas (some of which I called in myself so I'd have something decent to take home that night) and I just lived for six years in a state with ONLY Pizza Hut. I make a point to eat Round Table once a week now that I'm back.

Stark naked Pizza. Best I had yet. For a Franchise it it has to be Round Table but only when you have coupons. Hot Lips is the shit too because just like RTP its great cold. I hear good things about Pizza Oasis, Ill get to that but Cafe Oasis is dope too. But Ya...Stark Nakeds!

I like lots of different kinds of pizza, depending on my mood. But I would concur on Escape from New York. I also like Rocco's and Mississipi Pizza.

In this conversation I always have to put in for American Dream on NE Glisan. People talk about Chicago Style or NY Style pizza. I like to think of American Dream as Portland Style. It's got this nice braided crust, a winey sauce, and when you order a slice, they MAKE you A SLICE, not just cut one off of a pie that was already there. Underrated place.

The vegan slice at Bella Faccia is the best in town. Amazing thin, sweet crust with a creamy (roasted red pepper/cashew?) sauce and usually topped with jalapenos, roasted garlic, and the best marinated tempeh in the biz. last time i was in the add ons were +pineapple, green pepper, and mushroom. A big honkin slice for 3.50.

Hammy's. Okay, it isn't, not even close, but it is better than a frozen one at 4am, so I'm voting for them anyways.

The best pizza in town is whatever's closest to wherever I am at the moment I have the desire to eat pizza. Because it's just pizza. All the pizza I've had in my life has been adequate. None of it has blown my mind. It's fucking pizza. Move along.

    Hot Lips.

I don't care that it's a chain of sorts, any of the locations has the best damn crust/pizza/breadsticks etcetera.

a second for Vincente's! I'd try Apizza Scholls sometime if there was ever less than an hour wait. No pizza is that good.

There is tolerable pizza in Portland. A couple come CLOSE to NY style (Escape, Ken's Artisan) But there is no 'best' pizza in Portland, no Chicago, no East Coast old school and the void is filled with Californicated gourmet vegetarian garbage.
